Dusan Vlahovic: Juventus Medical Done Ahead of €62.8m Move
Official Announcement from Juventus
Juventus has officially signed Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, with the transfer fee estimated at €62.8 million.
Vlahovic underwent his medical with the Turin club on Friday, January 28, 2022, ahead of his move to the Serie A giants. The Serbian international is expected to sign a contract until 2026, with a salary of €7 million per year.
According to Fiorentina's sporting director Daniele Pradè, the transfer fee for Vlahovic could reach €80 million with potential bonuses. Juventus is reportedly paying €70 million up front, plus an additional €10 million in performance-related add-ons.
Vlahovic is considered one of the hottest properties in European football and has attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world. The 22-year-old has scored 20 goals in 24 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina this season, making him one of the league's top scorers.
Juventus is hoping that Vlahovic can fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo, who departed the club for Manchester United in the summer. The Italian giants are currently sixth in Serie A, 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan, and they will be hoping that Vlahovic can help them close the gap in the second half of the season.
