SpaceX's Starship Spacecraft and Super Heavy Rocket Set to Launch from Starbase
SpaceX has announced a revised launch date and time for its third Starship flight test. The launch is now scheduled for March 14th at 9:25AM EDT (13:25 GMT) from the company's Starbase facility near Boca Chica Beach, South Texas.
The Starship spacecraft, along with its Super Heavy rocket, represents a fully reusable transportation system designed for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. The upcoming flight test will be the third in a series of tests aimed at demonstrating the Starship's capabilities before it is used for operational missions.
The spacecraft selected to land US astronauts on the Moon as early as September 2026, Starship is a key component of NASA's Artemis program. The Artemis program aims to return humans to the Moon and establish a sustainable presence on the lunar surface.
